could be 450 - do you have to buy the bearing or is it a hub assembly?

I would give them the bearings you want pressed in

    Front or Rear?

I think that's a bit much as for me about $180ish for a rear hub assembly for me when i bought it from speedtech.

Yep sounds right. Rears are usually more expensive to do.

Do you know if that's for the whole thing including the hub or just the barring?

I just had a front and rear done and it cost me like $1300 with labour. Parts were cheap.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

wheel bearing on the rears of bolth STi and Skylines are very difficult to do, they require the removal of a few links, and the parking brake assembly, subaru IIRC charges out 3.5 hours for a rear bearing, the front are fare easier to do.

If Subaru's require more labour to do then posting about Jettas and Civics is irrelevant.

OP, what car is it? Do you have details of the estimate? Some bearings come as a single assembly and cost more than bearings only. I've found that packing bearings in is usually less reliable than buying a new bearing/assembly.

wheel bearings vary depending on vehicle, some are just the bearings and others need the whole hub replaced, telling him what it cost you on some random car will not help him get a ball park of price
