As for whether she's into me... can't tell. We've got one class together and I just asked her how her weekend was, and she said good except she broke up with her boyfriend. She wouldn't say anything at all if she didn't want me to know right?

Kinda depends on the girl I guess.

My situation is very similar, I just broke up with my bf a month ago, we dated for a year, and it's been a rough month, but I know for sure I wouldn't be ready yet to get back into another one.

So from my experience I'd say give her some breathing room, try to hang out with her as much as possible showing her you're interested, but don't smother her. She may even give you a hint when she's ready if she's into you like that as well

I know it's brutal to have to do, but try for the first couple weeks, to always make her smile (whether it be from an inside joke or giving her a bunch of balloons, flowers, candy, just do silly shit) - you have to make her feel comfortable and do as much as possible to take her mind off her ex.

Next, show her that you're the perfect guy, this is done obviously by example, reservations, gifts, be creative. Girls love that shit. (Of course you'll be acting and working hard for the first few weeks, but once you're in, you're in! You can go back to your old self.

Finally, once you've worked her over. Wait for it... wait for it... you've just put your P in her V.

If you dont want to be the rebound guy, then wait till she gets her next fling out of the way. Then approach her. Otherwise, if your the next guy she screws, she may look at it as a rebound and shrug you off.

If she isnt that kind of girl, then I would say test the waters. Be gentleman-like and offer to take her to dinner or coffee if she wants to talk about her break up or about a big assignment coming up. If she takes you up on it, you can get more info and you can assume she at least thinks of you as a friend and you can move from there. If she doesnt take you up on it, she will say why and you can assess from there.

I would wait a couple weeks at most. In that time frame there is always a chance they hook up again anyways so better to play it safe sometimes I guess.
