wow, did it come out of the machine with the different textures, or is that post print work?
this machine for sure needs a bit of work afterwards for results like that. but at least it prints in ABS so you have lots of options to finish it
Those are renderings, not printed parts...Originally posted by ercchry

I am not a mod... haha no idea where it went.
Really appreciate the votes guys... and if you would be willing to email the link around your office and ask that others vote. A long shot I know, but would be very much appreciated!
Well folks, according to Tekla, we're currently sitting in second place in voting.
If you haven't taken a look at the project yet, I suggest you do. It really is impressive. We designed/detailed EVERYTHING; from rebar, concrete, waterstop to chain links. If anyone would like a copy of the BIMsight model, let me know.
The best part about this project? It was completed by two people with no previous Tekla experience and one had no previous concrete/rebar design experience. Having spent a few weeks training them, they now are finishing the project alone.

As always, thanks for your help!

Not sure whether to post here, or in the Computer section of the forum.
Can any of you guys recommend a Laptop for running Autodesk Inventor 2013? I'm currently using a desktop with a Core i7 860 @ 2.8 Ghz, 16GB, 64bit, unfortunately I can't take a desktop home with me if I have to big projects to work on.
I've been considering these:

or
(Although lacking in regards to RAM)

The Samsung does have the 1TB+16GB SSD, but would Win7 even fit on the 16GB SSD?
The last one seems overly expensive compared to the other two, but does seem most comparable to the desktop I am currently using at the office. Is the extra .5TB, 4GB and slightly faster Graphics card worth the + $500.?
Any other recommendations besides the ones I've listed?
that processor sounds like the one i have... without being able to multi thread inventor runs like shit on my machine![]()
im always maxing one of them out

I've just been told that we have fallen out of the top 3!
Need those beyond votes! Post it on facebook, post it wherever you would like... just take 10 seconds to log on and vote. Where it asks for a company name, put Beyond if you'd like.
