If they sell the G8 GXP for low $40s cdn, I'll be all over it GM or not.
It may only cost you $40k, but soon you'll have no warranty or service.
You think the whole corporation is going to disapear?Did the airlines disapear when they went broke?Buy the g-8 gxp,i doubt gm will be going anywhere, its just too big of a company.Originally posted by buh_buh

His not completely wrong. While GM won't go away, warranty work perform by dealers would probably be the last creditor they will pay under bankruptcy.Originally posted by corsvette

If they cover depreciation, they would have sell it for $25K, not $35K.Originally posted by 01RedDX
Sweet, they now cover depreciation... this could be the key to a turnaround.
Look at all those exterior pics but no interior.. wonder why?
Nice, they both look pretty good too. I found some interior pics from that same site, doesn't look too bad at all. Too bad that they don't cost the same thing here.. right? I'm assuming that this is in the U.S?
Nice.

Motor Authority is state based.
There was an article regarding the auditors for GM don't think they will last, bailout or not, chapter 11 or not. This was march 5th.
I was at a Pontiac dealership the other day and I was asking about the main differences between the G8 GT vs G8 GXP. The GXP has ~50 more HP but does not have the D.O.D. feature meaning the GXP will probably use a good chunk more fuel. In real world driving I don't know if the extra 50 HP would be worth the additional purchase price & fuel consumption.
Don't get me wrong, I WOULD LOVE to have the GXP to thrash around town but the cheap-ass in me would lean to settling with the "only" 360 HP GT.

AMS used to make a twin turbo kit for the GT but it's not on their site anymore. Pretty sure it got you close to 600hp on pump gas and cost less than the difference between a GT and GXP. I could be wrong about the hp and cost though.Originally posted by Masked Bandit

The GXP is offered in manual, has bigger brakes, and more HP - that should be the selling points of a 400hp sport sedan. If mileage is a concern when going from 360hp to over 400, stick to < 100hp cars.Originally posted by Masked Bandit

We're talking about less than $20 a week more for gas for most people driving to/from work when going from a GT to GXP. If you're that concerned, don't eat out, stop smoking, don't buy the beer with your lunch 3 times a week. That's how much it'll cost.
hahahahah who buys a 400hp car and worries about gas mileage, with a 400hp car you will be driving it hard so your fuel economy will be way worse than what its rated at.
Thats like someone ordering a big mac meal and a side of chicken mcnuggets and worrying about cholesterol.
