I recently applied for the 2 year Travel and Tourism program at SAIT and was just wondering what kind of jobs I could see myself doing in the future and I was wondering if anyone of you guys or girls has taken this course.

I would say the programs at SAIT give you just the building blocks, but a lot of whatever you're going to do you'll learn on the job. The above link provides some information about occupations in the accomodation and food services industry in Alberta. Keep in mind that a lot of the information was collected before the boom, and so it won't have this recession in mind but at least you'll have a ball park figure of what kind of experience/education you'll need and what the salary is.
Thanks! The link was very helpfull
This is not directed at you specifically but just more of a general question: Why do people register for programs or curriculums without a clue as to what they'll be doing once they graduate?
Quite often I've noticed on the boards that users are looking for post-grad job info. I'm not referring to job leads, I'm talking about people who don't have a clue what they're even doing there to begin with. One would think that more foresight would go into spending several thousand dollars and dedicating 2-4 years of someone's life.
