Also, i like how the pilot apologized, as if he had done something wrong and that it was all his fault the plane had quit running in the first place but man.... props to that guy.
He got really lucky it fired back up those cpl times, it got him where he needed to be and kept him well above stall speed.
great circumstances and pilot that was cool as a cucumber.
the guy saves both there lives then at the end he tells him watch the wing watch the wing lol

Definitely thought they we're going too sideways before landing. I was shitting bricks just watching that!Originally posted by 01RedDX
Awesome, got a bit iffy at times but great job on the landing.
Awesome haha!
I'm getting my pilot's licence right now and I poop a little in my pants every time I get in one of those horrible Cessnas lol

Wow, nice landing, way to keep flying the plane. Scary stuff when you're that low. At least he didn't try to turn back to the airport or something and stall/spin like so many others.
Kevie88, no need to worry, you've got a better chance killing yourself driving to the airport than doing circuits in a 172, haha.

Thanks for the 14 years of LOLs. Govern yourselves accordingly and avoid uppercut reactions!
That plane had some good power lol. Beats the 152 I use to fly haha. Good thing there were no cars on the road.
^ or it's an ultralight homebuilt.
So true, i work on 172s almost everyday, theres a reason why Cessna still produces the 3A12 type certificate after 50+ years with barely any changes, especially to the airframe, comparing our oldest model a 1972, to our newest a 2002 model, the guts are all the same from what i've seen during inspections.Originally posted by canadianskyline

like i said tho, that thing looks like a homebuilt, the damned ELT was strapped to the tube frame with velcro and theres only one control yoke from what i can see (redundancy fail ). Also sounds like a rotax engine or something of that type.
That said you wouldn't catch me in either a homebuilt or a rotax engine powered a/c in my lifetime, not because of this video but from what i've seen here at work.
Perfect landing tho, his instructor/friend or w/e suggested the field which would've been the norm but thats pretty insane, i wonder if they had to remove the wings and flatbed it back to the airport.
