Default bike practicing...before class 6 road test

Okay so I just finished my safety course for motorcycle but I still feel I could use some practice before actually doing the road test.

Does anyone know where I could go? LoL I don't have any friends who own bikes so yeah..

    Thanks for your input

You should be able to go just about anywhere. Make sure you ride with someone with a class 6 as well for tips and incase you get pulled over.

you can usually go back to the school you did the safety course with and practice on their bikes

Is it legal to ride without your class 6 as long as a co-rider does? Or do you mean ride on the back of their bike until you get to the parking lot?

They have to be behind you in a car or on their own bike.

That said, I've been riding around for two weeks now without a 6, and no problems at all. Just don't speed and you shouldn't get pulled over.

Nah, not really. Unless you really don't know how to ride a bike, controlling it isn't that hard. I've been on them before.

As for the legal side, it's a ticket and maybe a tow if the cop is not having a good day. That said, I'd lie my ass off and tell them my "escort" fucked off without me or got caught in traffic.

My road test is this week, so it won't be a problem for long.

I've done the samething. Had my bike and rode around without my license for maybe a month until I got my license.

Just don't speed, run lights etc. Follow the rules of the road and you should be fine. I took the course with Calgary Safety Council but I live on the south side of town and didn't want to go all the way up to the beddington registry to book my test, and go all the way up to the registry again to do my road test.

So I went and bought a bike on my own, got it registered/insured and used that bike for my road test at a registry in the south. Of course you run the risk of the po po's impounding your bike but it is entirely up to you.

If you can handle the risk by all means go for it. It's like those who go out on bikes in shorts and tshirts. I always gear because I can't handle that risk, but I didn't mind the risk of getting caught without a class 6.

i would just find a friend that has a bike to ride around with. i did the whole ride without license thing. i didn't get caught...but there were close calls.

you will feel better about riding with someone and in general that will make you more confident about riding the bike.

worse comes to worse....someone here would take you out. i know i am always looking for excuses to ride. Shoot me a PM if you can't find anyone. i will take you out for a ride.
