Default Off Roading, Mclean June 7th. Roll Call

Now that I got the truck fixed, I think I can make it for Sunday. Who's interested in having some fun in there daily driver-dedicated off roaders?

Mclean Creek, I was thinking Top of the World unless someone knows other exciting trails that the masses can handle.

9AM Meeting at the Shell Gas station in Bragg Creek
920AM Leave for the Mclean store to Air down and do Final inspection.

Make sure you pack a lunch and warm clothing!

    Who's in?

Would a stock Sorento with all-terrains be appropriate for this? I have not done top-of-the-world yet but am itching to go out there.

You need a Low Range Transfer box to do top of the world and at least a 29" Diameter tire (225/75R16 for example). I just checked the specs on a sorento and they did come with those size tires and a 4LO equipped transfercase depending on the trim level.

I'm in. I think its supposed to rain, so it should make it an interesting climb I hope.

top of the world trail is pretty decent, easy and fun ride..

you dont need any high end trucks to do it, if you cannot make it up the one bigger ledge you can drive around it...

but me and my buddies are heading up to wiprous so i cant make it out this time guys..

I'm in. 30" tires and low gearing - but a relatively heavy truck so I'm hoping I won't hold anyone back. Not sure what trucks you guys have or with what mods. I just gotta get some recovery gear ready ASAP. Looking forward to this.

Dont worry about weight, I probably got the biggest truck out there at nearly 5000 pounds. Full size spare is a must too.

Cold, Smold. I wheeled all winter. Just dress warm. The vehicle heat takes care of the rest.

Besides they are calling for 11 and Sunny.

What size tires on your Rover? Nice looking truck when it's clean .

I'm going out to get tow hooks and straps today - I'm thinking Crappy-Tire. Any suggestions?

We got enough recovery stuff between us all, and I got the winch, if nessesary. I used it frequently a couple weeks ago to recover all sorts of vehicles.

I do - just trying to recover the pics off a failed hard drive. Will hopefully post soon if I can get to them.
