got break pads replaced at 15000 kms?

hi

took my 2003 honda accord (bought in jan 2003) in for my 2nd maintenance to the dealer last weekend.

they called me after i dropped it off and said my rear break pads were at 15% and should get them replaceds (my fronts were at 60-70%).

i've heard that the front pads always wear out quicker than the rear. - I think they screwed me.

I drive mostly highyway and don't break very hard - how often should my break pads need replacing? - it shouldn't be every 15000 kms should it?

i used to have an aztek before i got the accord and had over 40000 kms without replacing any pads

any advice/ tips?

I had the same thing happen to me in my G35 but on mine all four needed replacing at 19K. I fought like a bitch to get them to replace them under warranty and won. My G35 has 39K now and the brakes need replacing again but this time they admitted to premature brake wear and is replacing all four corners under warranty. I would fight them. They obviously will say that you drive the car too hard but get them to explain why the fronts are ok. Under normal conditions the fronts will need replacing way before the rears. Make sure you are not driving with the park brakes up.
