Default Campus health care: [Rate these Dentists]

So this is the first year ill be apart of the Campus Health plan.

My current dentist is awesome but unfortunately is not one of the TEN OR SO DENTISTS that are "approved" by the U of C. Anyone have any experiences with any of these guys?

Im not overly picky but I do need a root canal done in two months...

    Thanks.

I'd be interested in this as well although it shouldn't matter significantly. You can't really compare which dentist is better unless you have gone through all of them. So you will just have to pick one.

Of course, older ones usually have more experience.

As far as I remember, the dental plan comes with one free check-up/cleaning and that would be the only reason I would see them.

Edmund Chan has been my dentist for a couple years now, highly recommend him. Haven't had any major work done, just a regular cleaning once-twice a year, good experience each visit.

    thanks bball.

I know you cant really compare them directly but you can have good and bad experiences.

Never heard of Dr. Nihal Dhalla from Varsity Dental, but some other dentist at Varsity Dental a while back performed some sort of procedure in my mouth which cost me $100+. I only went in for a cleaning (which was free under UC health care) and was not aware of this other procedure. All she did was poke around with the metal scraper. I got a bill in the mail and when I asked the receptionist why I wasnt informed before performing this procedure, she was a total bitch about it and acted like I was out to get her or something. I was calm and nice throughout the whole incident, yet she ended up saying I wasnt welcome there anymore, so I just said fuck it and didnt pay.

They were very nice and professional when I first came in, but I am going to have to give Varsity Dental a thumbs down
