Do any exist in the city anymore? The large chains are failing to get any stock of this game I'm looking for.

lol i think thats long and dead, i remember i never stepped foot inside a rogers/blockbuster for almost the first 2 years that i had my NES, the corner video store was had it all lol

what game? old one? EB games sometimes has old used trade ins, they can call check avail. around the city too.

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. It's a new release but there is a shortage of shipments for the country, EB can't even fill their tiny list of pre-orders. Normally I'd stay away from anime style games but this looks way too fun.

Haha after reading your OP, I had a feeling you were looking for Blazblue - I am as well! I was told by a friend that Video Game trader on centre st has it but theyre a rip off and I never buy from there ever.

The game is getting amazing reviews, want to get my hands on it. But whats up with the delay in canada?

I went out searching for this game, as Arc Systems gave me many enjoyable hours with the guilty gear series. Turns out, release date for Canada is July 29th. So I just preordered it.

The limited edition came out last week and the normal game comes out on the 29th, both for the same price. I just want to play it asap

I was told at EB that they didn't have any information on the special Edition, but would phone me when they did. That was on friday.... Still havent gotten a call. I will just wait till the 29th either way.

I've been trying to get my hands on Calamity Trigger now as well. Shortages everywhere. All EB stores I talked to and visited only got a few copies in for pre orders and that was it. They told me that they had no idea when they would get any more, and told me that they might not be getting the limited editions in. Doubtful you would be able to find this in any store right now.

Even stores such as future shop, best buy don't even have the game listed yet. No luck at Toys R Us, or Walmart.

You'd have to probably get quite lucky to grab a limited edition locally without having preordered it before. Ebaying it might be your only option right now. I can't wait to play it as well. I have mine on order!

Yip, VGT is a joke. The owner (Steve) is the cockiest bastard that you will ever meet. Besides that, everything they sell is overpriced. I cant believe this place is still in business.

I went in there the other day looking for Genesis games. They wanted $40 for Earthworm Jim & $50 for a TMNT game. $300 for an N64 bundle with a couple controllers and a game. Hahaha. Morans.

The best part is when you try to exchange say a defectie console or controller. They won't do it over the counter, instead you have to leave it there for a few days so they can run a test on it first. (Sigh).

The June 30th release was for the Limited Edition only. But all stores like EB got only 2 or so copies in and that was it. Everyone I've talked to doesn't know if they will get more in or not and if they are shipping any more of the LE's.

With that said the Standard Edition release is the July 28th. So I don't think we will see the SE's hitting stores until around that time or a bit after when the arrive in Canada.
