out on bail on child abuse charges

I was released on bail this morning and long story short, I'm looking for a good lawyer to defend me.

Basically what happened was that my kid wouldn't stop crying so i pushed her, causing her to break a rib and puncture her lung. I didn't mean to hurt her, I just wanted to shut her up.

Anyways, I'm back in court in less than a month and am facing a bit of time that i just don't think i could handle.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Get some anger management help. I'd be willing to bet that this probably wasnt the first time youve thought of or have done something to harm the child.

It goes to show that you are seeking help for your issues which may soften the verdict a bit.

How does pushing a child shut them up? My dad used to chase me around with a belt but he would never manhandle me. I turned out pretty good. Why the pushing?

didnt make the news. she understands, i was really stressed out and didn't mean to. assualt and battery to a minor. i lost my cool man, i said it was an accident

If not you are just at the beginning of a very long journey in your life as this is someting that everyone you know will talk about behind your back and everyone will lose respect for you. I'm sure your parents/baby's mom/her parents are so thrilled. I mean, how very fatherly of you to use violence against a child to get them to quiet down.

she really does shes not even mad at me. noone would have even knew if she didnt get injured and had to goto the hospital
