Finally an answer on NVS. $1.18. Not quite the $2+ that was speculated from that bullshit article, but I'll take it

I wonder how long it will take to close/see the cash in our accounts?

I don't think many people did.Originally posted by sabad66
Anyone else cash in on the Nokia sale today? Was a nice surprise to wake up to
You would have had to buy in a very short time frame to make money on that, like between April 2012 and yesterday or during the 90's. Even then, having the stomach to hold it as it dropped to reeeaallly low levels.
So, if you did make bank on it... Then you should be jumping for joy even more than you already are. I couldn't have done it.
On Sabbatical
It won't close till end of December as per press release. Why bother holding it? Buy on speculation, sell on news. If it gets to $1.15 tomorrow, I'm out. Very disappointing deal. Company has been nothing but a value trap for years despite pretty decent assets, and can't even get sold for 1P value.Originally posted by sabad66

I'm disappointed as I held a decent position at an average cost below $.80 for quite a while in my TFSA and eventually had to get rid of it at a slight loss since I was going non-resident. Would have been a nice ~50% tax free gain if I'd been able to hold!Originally posted by Feruk

edit: double post.
My bid/ask for NVS.V says 0.95 still @7:10am. @8:04am it's 1.10.
Anyways what happened to UBNT? I sold it at 37.xx thankfully but it's way down now. Haven't heard any news, what's causing it?

Ultracrepidarian
Too much money tied up for too long on this one for me as well for $1.18. I was looking for $1.40. Not going to complain about a profit though. On to the next one.Originally posted by Feruk

Thanks for the 14 years of LOLs. Govern yourselves accordingly and avoid uppercut reactions!
Just picked up a shit load of PetroAmerica PTA.V.
I have a good feeling this stock is going to be a 4-5 banger within the next couple of months..
Volume went from 200k to 1.3mil in a day..

Lockup expired. Bunch of employees cashing in. I sold before I went on vacation in case there was some correction after the initial jump.Originally posted by msommers

The company should be trading around where it is ($33-$34). If they come out with any good supply chain news, expect another jump.
Signature..... I ate it!!
Anyone notice the massive open interest for PUT options on TSLA? For Dec 21 expiries @ $60, and for Jan 18 @$40
Bear Spread.....

Presentation yesterday might have something to do with it.
Quick Sum:
1) dividend absolutely sustainable within cash flow
2) happy not to benefit immediately from wti being up, prefering security of hedging and expecting gradual differential improvements with Keystone XL, rail, etc.
3) Interesting discussion of how small improvements in recovery rates can strongly leverage the value of what's under the land package
4) Simple horizontal drilling is improving recovery factors, with little technical risk
5) Initial results at Wildmere appear solid
Edit:
13 cents holy crap.

i thought maybe there was some acquisition or take over news
either way, i got out of it, for a small gain, after the last huge dip to 1.6 ish,
just glad to be out
I think they just reaffirmed they are okay. Which is fine in my books.Originally posted by Akumaz

How do we feel about TTWO on Monday?
They're releasing Grand Theft Auto V on Tuesday and they can only recognize revenues once they deliver the product. Or is there a consensus that the increased revenues are already built into the share price?
Has an IQ of 138, but can't figure out basic algebra.
