Angry Big Surprise for First Time Out to Race City

I went to race city for the FIRST TIME EVER this friday ,

I knew i'd be slow cuz im pretty close to stock, anyways my worst nightmares came true and i found out im not too much faster than a civic :madred:

my best run of the night was an 18 flat which i can probably improve on, then do some more weight reduction, cuz i really didnt do that much... and take out my headlight so my intake gets some more air...

Its sad but true .... until i get my supercharger im gonna be pulling off high 17's

All i can say is that a supercharger has moved way up on my priority list and i want it in by mid spring (after my 18" rims which will slow me down even more)

im gonna be depressed about my times till next friday... well at least i can take benny's jetta

thought i had the slowest car on here, im surprised my best time with the civic was 17.8....and it was first time out.not much faster but still...sweet....but you no grand prix is a heavy car right, so that is pretty good, keep up the good work and you'll improve

the gran prix is a great cruiser car not really meant to be dragged..instead of stressing and spending huge dollars to make it go moderately quick why not just turn it into a killer euro style car...nice rims...air bags...stereo..stuff like that

    my slowest was 18.5.
    fastest was 16.6.

so don't feel bad about your runs.

i know i can run into the 15's if i don't keep on screwing something up during the run

yeah well i think i could inch my time down below 18 with a better RT ...

and im glad to say that instead of picking up my rims and most likely storing them till spring i'm gonna try to get my full exhaust done (which i've been meaning to do) damn intake is getting more air then it can shove out, and prolly while im at it some bigger fuel injectors, new spark plugs, and race wires, before the next SS to see if i can pull off something better than 18

the few mods that i do have done like intake and a fuel management system kind of need the rest of these things to really do any real work so im hoping for some better times next friday as longsas i have time to install them

Redlyne_MR2: I plan on working on the asthetics of the car too, i paid so little for the car that i can throw some Good coin into both the engine and the looks and by the time im done it will probably add up to a bit less than i should have paid for the car when i bought it

    R.T. doesn't effect e.t.

larger fuel injectors, new plugs and wires won't do much, if anything, for a relativly new stock car.

the RT doesn't affect the quarter mile time.

well.. yeah it probably wouldn't but i just recently installed this thing which hooks up the the fuel line and does some messed up crap the fuel, it does something to ionize the fuel and it burns better more efficient so on...

anyways its supposed to make a good difference with plugs injectors all that crap with this thing on my car

i might get a chip instead but i havent checked out any prices
