    Default Alternator rebuild

Has anyone had any experience with getting an alternator rebuilt by one of the many companies here in town? How much did it run you?

Pretty sure the rectifier has shit the bed. I'll bring it somewhere and see what they say for a price I guess. New one is $200 for a 86 corolla, that's rape.

Audi alt. was $310 for the same treatment

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

4afe alternator is a better alternator to put on a bluetop 4age then stock, lots of those. My blacktop has eaten 3 alternators so far.

go see the guy near edmonton trail on that road with the hks dealer... hes good or just get new brushes -- or take it apart and sand the terminals down.

I dont think they do install, you need to remove it and bring it in, and then pick it up and install it when its done. Sometimes they have honda alternators in stock since they are a popular item, they just charge you core for your old one, unless you bring your old one in right away
