how do you go about getting a dna test

i need to get a dna test in alberta to prove im the father of my son in ontario how would i go about it

Well, you can go to a lab and get tested, no big deal. You can also pay to have your son tested in Ontario, but that may only happen if the mother consents. If she doesn't consent, you may have to get a court order for testing.

Are legal proceedings underway? Is the mother collecting child support from you?

If she is trying to say you are not the father then you go to court and argue that you are, the judge will order you to get a DNA test and then will order her to have one done on your son at your expense( although they may make her pay as she is protesting paternity)
