Shaw Slow lately?

Anyone else experiencing BRUTALLY slow upload speeds on SHAW? I cant get more than 5-6kb/sec anywhere. Download speed is also low, only 70-80kb/sec off a shaw server.

No problems here. Downloading two files curently at the same time, one at 313kps, and one at 287kps, I hit ealier 600kps this week. I live in the SW.

I think it all depnends on where you live. Some places shaw is better some places telus is better. But one thing as far as uploading, shaw's network is more based on downloading than uploading. Uploading takes more bandwith thus is is purposly throttled down by shaw to give more users the exciting site of high kps downloads.

Telus uploading is better but the download is worse....kinda a catch 22.

my uploading is brutal, when i upload to my webspace stuff goes at about 10kb/sec and when i send files to people on msn its goes insanely slow. My downloads are fine, they are usually around 400-700kb/sec which is pretty good considering that everyone in my area uses shaw internet

shaw is slow! but then again it depends when u started making ur downloads or up loads

The reason why shaw is so slow is becasue your using it during the times when it is busy.... since shaw is shared access to many people in your area using shaw internet will slow down your connection speed.... If you do alot of upload or download its better to go with Telus ADSL shaw caps you on how much you can upload and download because your sharing it with the rest of the neighbourhood..... i'm not saying telus doesn't do the same thing but they don't really care casue you have direct access so whatever you do on the internet will not affect anyone but yourself....
