i have done it quite a lot of times...
they charge u like 3 bucks on ur credit card....to put stuff...then u gotta choose for how much auction u wanna put ur thing on....and if u want to put "buy it now" option or not...
u have to go to a post office to get the shipping rates....u tell them teh weight of teh thing u trying to ship and the place u wanna ship to..they will tell u....
to put stuff for sale...u go to ur account and then click on "sell" tab on the top...and then just follow the steps...its pretty easy.....
my most expeiences have been good so far...but again u never know...
    anyways hope tat helps.....
    good luck with sales...

Well it is an auction format, so you put the item you want to sell and post it up explaning everything for sale and all the conditions of the auction. I have sold soem stuff on eBay, I had a pretty good experience, the guy i dealt with made a prompt payment so it was good. I usually calculate shipping rates by getting a box that will fit for the item and ship it to Newfoundland (when selling domestically) and add about 5 bux to this price. This usually gives you a way of getting the item shipped anywhere and not having to pay anything extra and maybe making a little money off it .

Christmas is good time to sell too.

I've sold a few things for prices that are higher than what I'd pay at the store!

I also sold 2 350Z posters that I got from the dealer for about 60USD EACH. However i think that was just a freak occurance with two guys that really wanted them.

I'm a constant eBay seller, as in, I do it as a job. I've only had a few bad incidents, but I'd say 90% of the registered users on eBay are decent and will pay for the item they bid on.

Main thing to watch out for a people with lots of negative feedback (under 90% feedback rating), or people who are brand new users and have zero feedback.

You can choose not to sell to buyers that have negative feedback ratings. As long as you choose buyers correctly you're usually good.

Besides, it's buyers that have to beware of sellers ripping them off so you check seller feedback always. The feedback system usually never fails!

Bank transfer through a chequing account, or through credit card.
