Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) Sunday said that Yemen could be the ground of America's next overseas war if Washington does not take preemptive action to root out al-Qaeda interests there.

Lieberman, who helms the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, said on "Fox News Sunday" that the U.S. will have to take an active approach in Yemen after multiple recent terrorist attacks on the U.S. were linked back to the Middle Eastern nation.

Meanwhile, totally unreported on the news there is a huge civil war brewing in Yemen. I'm sure the pants flamer Yemenise/nigerian terrorist is just a made up story to justify attacking Yemen.

A couple of weeks ago the US was flying sorties into Yemen and bombing villages. Saudi Arabia has massed thousands of troops against the border and dropped over 1000 bombs on some village.

So he works for an oil field service company. Most of the work they do is for Nexen. Theres lots of basement oil in Yemen (big surprise its attached to Saudi)

From what I understand Yemen is mostly made of of tribes that get kick backs from the oil companies etc... The usual corruption and islamic blah blah blah

They can't afford to have an instability there or risk losing control of the pro western government and oil contracts. Funny that just as a civil war is breaking out there thats being swept under the rug, a Terrorist with ties to Yemen tries to attack the US. Coincidence? I guess we'll find out here shortly.

Civil war in Yemen. Rebels backed by Iran, and the Yemen Government backed by Saudi. The US is interested in fighting a proxy war against Iran and elements inside Saudi that are trying to pull away from the US protectorate.

along with other recent attacks, Nigerian bomber out of Yemen is a US patsy helping to build a case for going into Yemen. Evidence? Father a Niger Banker went to the US embassy and warning them that his son was in a terrorist training camp in Yemen. Even so, he was allowed to buy a one way plane ticket in Ghana, paid in cash and allowed to get on the plane after entering Nigeria illegally. According to eye witnesses the man gets off the plane in Amsterdam and is escorted by a well dressed man to the gate of the US flight and helps the Nigerian get on he plane without a passport.
