VUB formerly known as V8less Nights in Calgary

I am proud to announce the dates of our Calgary and Edmonton Dates for V8less Nights - Herein known as V8less Urban Battles or VUB.

VUB Calgary May 15 at the Olympic Oval
VUB Edmonton July 10 at the Northlands Sportex

VUB Calgary
The Olympic Oval has over 175,000 Square feet of indoor show space, almost double the size of any previous Import show in Alberta. Included will be the first ever Western Canadian 3x Db Drag, a indoor scooter autox, and street bball mixes.

VUB Edmonton
With over 75,000 sq feet indoor, 2003 V8less Nights Edmonton was the most attended import show in Alberta, exceeding the attendance of the major shows in Calgary. This year VUB aims to bring even more including an outdoor Dyno competition, street bball mixes, and a DB Drag to the show.

Soon to be announced - the Sport Compact Challenge Series. Expanding our shows in Edmonton, and into Calgary as well.

Thanks for the questions guys. We're building what we hope will be the largest Import Carshow in Calgary. Our formula is quite different than that of typical import carshows, and has worked very well for us in previous shows. Our attendance has been spectacular for all our events, indoor and outdoor.

Our major sellpoints:
- We are expecting over 200 vehicles, of which ~40% will be from outside of Calgary.
- Over 5000 people
- Our ticket and booth prices are lower
- A very interative show with things such as Sumo Suit wrestling, Slam dunk contest, continuous stage show and battles, RC Racing, and of course - a Beer Garden

We're even considering a swap meet.

To answer your questions:
- A DB Drag is a soundoff. Huge following.
- We are looking at options for models. At minimum we will have a bikini model search.
- This one's completly indoors

I have always been a suporter of V8Less and the show's that they put on. Very creative shows to say the least, with the concept of team battles for drag events. I will definitly be in attendance at the Calgary show and hopefully for the Edmonton show as well. Keep up the good work Markis, from the Silent Rage Crew.

We're hoping its going to be a competitive year. Support for our shows have always been great from the local side. It's always been our strongest point.

We're expecting to see a huge showing from Edmonton in Calgary, so hopefully we'll have the same input from Calgary in our Edmonton Show again.

On a side note (and I hope I'm not jacking your thread here), it's remarks like that that tell organizers to avoid Calgary. Everyone around here is too critical of things.

I talked to a few organizers at Import Showoff last year, and they simply weren't impressed with the crowd. The impression they got of the crowd was that they just weren't enthusiastic enough.

EDIT: Instead of saying I hope it's not another event. Why not pm him and tell him what you didn't like about the entire show, or just part of the show.
