    For the most part, from what I've heard its the prof in English classes that makes it "easy" or not. You are still going to have to do your share of the work with a whole shit load of reading, but I took 231 with Winterson (I think). I rarely attended lectures but did all my reading and ended up with a B+. It was based on 3 essays and an extremely easy final, again only easy because I did all of the reading. I recommend 231 but dont take it as a slack class, just like any other.

    I took Engl 231 with Hall.. lots of reading but not too much work. one or two papers, a midterm and a final.. Took 237 with Ruby Ramraj! Her husband also teaches in the english dept! Try to not take a class with either! Soci.. less work.. especially 201

    Soci over Anthro

    GRST is usually always easy

    English 231 is also pretty good.

    i took engl 231 in my first year, it wasn't too bad. i didnt do all of the readings either and still did well. like what was said before, it really depends on which teacher you have.

    i have taken many anth classes and no soci classes, so i am not sure which is easier...but all of the anth classes i have taken are pretty interesting. especially the 300 level courses, so it could be something you might want to continue ... i got a pretty good mark in both anth 201 and 203

    comp sci 203 was a breeze
    psyc 205 with boyes
    econ 201/203 with Tracey/Holden

    any soci classes with Manzo.... HIGHLY recommended... he's an awsome prof. anthro is definetly interesting, but if you're going for ease, soci is the ticket

    Imagine a better version of psychology... instead of looking at the individual, you look at the entire group (society) and try to explain things that way.

    I personally found it much more interesting than Psyc or Anthro or any of the other Social Sciences... hence why I majored in it.

    Soci 201 is incredibly boring, but really easy class; I don't even know who in the faculty teaches it anymore, but a good bet is to avoid Sharon Lackner at all costs, as well as Arnold. If you want cool electives at the 300/400 levels, there are some great soci courses... try soci 325 if u want to learn about crime, and then go from there.

    Hope that helps!

    Any english course with RAMRAJ is pretty boring! At least the semester I had with her! She talks constantly about her other classes instead of the one she is supposed to be teaching! Try Hall ... or really ANYONE else! that is just me 2 cents!
    But... if you do your work it is still easy to pull off a decent mark.

    For that class... She sometimes does a final paper, sometimes a final exam. It depends on the semester she says! Hope for the final paper!

    ltso = leisure tourism
    tour = tourism

    basically ltso 309 and tour 309 is the exact same course. The difference is that tour is for management majors to register in, and ltso are for other faculties taking the course as an option. Another really easy course is GNST 371, didn't go to class and ended up with a b+...not bad
