A+ thread.
I'm at my father in laws (he restores old british cars) and just replaced my headlights with new FK angel eyes. He took a look at the old ones, and said that I could sand and polish out all the marks on them. He just suggested progressively getting to smaller and smaller grit until it's up into the 2000 range, and that should make them as pretty as new.
Yup. It's kind of scary seeing the lens all scratched up and opaque looking but after the 2000 grit, then doing a final round with some very fine cut polish and very soft cloth (3M, can buy it from Crappy Tire or Partsource), it'll look as good as new. Note this doesn't work if your headlight is made of glass...Originally posted by codetrap

You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
Start with 600 then go 1000 then 1500 then 2000. Make sure you do these while running water where you are sanding. Then you get meguiars plast x. Do final polish with plast x and paper towel or rags. I did it for s14 lights and it worked awesome.
