anyone heard about this yet? I watched the preview videos and it looked very cool.

By very cool I hope you mean lame.
For all the fail video I can see, room lighting will play a big role in how good the detection is.
But Sony already moved like 1M unit of Move in 30 days. So I guess they still have a market for motion games.
what ur want to play the damn thing at night? or wiith the lights off? i would think since the camera and the motion sensor will be focused on you, the thing has voice rec, and face rec also.Originally posted by Xtrema

i tried move this past weekend at a friends, its a hit imo, the physics and accuracy of the controller is A++ and this was just play the frisbee fken game that came with the controller, new greatest drinking video game yet (i guess wait till tiger woods comes out for move then it'll be perfect, blows the Wii out of the water for movement precision )Originally posted by Xtrema

Been in beta for awhile. A buddy has it. He thinks its ok. Too bad it will be alot of shitty mini games. At least the Sony Move is for actual games. Havent tried it yet though.Originally posted by Jetta-2.0

They had one at Tech Days in Edmonton earlier this month, quite a crowd on the first day, 2nd day one person was playing. Didn't try it myself but could be a hit with the kids.

Was working with the tech at work over a year ago...
It's cool... for limited features.
But if you are expecting to play an FPS with full body control, i say good luck. I guess that is what MS is attempting to pitch.
Expect lots of fitness games, dance games, pet games, etc... Basically casual games.
The ps move works due to the inclusion of a controller.
With kinect, microsoft is marketing it as the next wave in gaming and how controllers will no longer be needed. To top it off, they're spending 500 million in marketing on kinect.
The question is, would you spend 150-200 dollars for a peripheral to play games that you will eventually end up pairing with a normal controller?

Nope. Holding my hands up pretending to have a gun or a steering wheel is stupid. As you said it will be all casual games.Originally posted by AG_Styles

Yeah I bought this the day it came out. I have been playing it everyday and I am very impressed with what it can do and how much fun it is. I own wii and ps move as well but I think kinect is the best of them all. I highly recommend it.
I actually love playing around with the Kinect. The PS3 Move IMO is more responsive than the Wii, and the Kinect is something different from both the PS3 and Wii.
Just need to wait for cool releases for Kinect. Street Fighter for Kinect? Hahaha.
Too bad, right now Wii IMO has the worse of the three but it doesn't matter one bit. Microsoft and Sony are 4 years too late, and Nintendo already took the money.

Also Kinect has been hacked to be used on the PC already. Might sound stupid to use it on a pc but imagine sitting on your couch and flipping with your hand through your movies or whatever on your media center pc. It could also be used for security on a pc.
6 days after release it was already hacked to run PC and MacsOriginally posted by captain134

but really cool stuff can be done, i think you just need 2 or even 3 on either side of the room, then your mind will for sure be blown lol:
