Was there for a private Stampede function this morning and damn, there's eye candy galore in that place!

Definately worth checking out if you work in the downtown core.

You like it now, wait until september when the roof top patio opens. A huge chunk of the multi million dollar project has went into the rooftop patio. Several thousands square feet, glass everywhere....going to be the new hot spot (kind of already is).

i think i am going to have to check it out during the day, when they dont have idiots who dont know how to read running the doors. LOL

I recently had a work party there - the staff is not only eye candy, but they are also really personable. Were doing shots with the kitchen staff when I was there (since the kitchen is open to the restaurant).

Definitely the hottest place in the core, I can't wait for the patio to be done (watching progress out my office window).

Was there for dinner on Thurs (not busy at all) and they said they are still reno. the roof top. No completion date set.

I imagine the rooftop won't open until next year. Seems kind of pointless to launch now that it's too dar n cold to really enjoy it. By spring, ppl might have moved onto the next new thing, but will come back to check out the patio.

Orginally wrote a long feedback regarding this place but decided to just keep the coles notes. Overall, I will never come back to this place.

COLES NOTES
Made reservations through email, organizer emails back and confirms the reservation. Good shit so far
Dined in with 10 people for a birthday
steaks were overcooked/undercooked
service was bad, no check backs were made, had no choice but to eat crap steaks.
drinks took forever to come
it wasn't even busy
went to washroom after dinner
saw a bartender/bar helper use the washroom
bartender/bar helper doesn't wash his hands
I follow him around to see if he would wash his hands
bartender decides to continue bartending without washing his hands
I let the manager know about it, said he would follow up on it
Manager never follows up on it, we're completely disgusted
decided to leave and settle the bill
I contact the organizer, the same person I made reservations with
waited over a week to get a reply
Organizer never emails me back, I know she gets her email because she replied to me a few times when we booked our reservation. I even left my contact number.
Called the GM, he gives me his email as well and tells me to send the complaint to him.
sent and email to the GM and to the organizer again and even left my contact number
Waited another week to get an email back
GM and organizer never replies to email.
had a very bad experience and will never come back.

You would think that the organizer would forward this to the GM and you would think that the GM would follow up on it with me after such a long time. I know people can get busy, that's why I waited so long for them to reply. But to this very day, I have yet to get a reply or get contacted by either of them.

I wasn't looking to get free shit, I just felt like they needed to own up to what we experienced. The least they could do and reply back to our emails or call us back to appologize. That or Maybe look to see if they can get us back again and make sure our overall experience is better the next time we come,but no such luck. There is a huge lack of customer service and I probably won't come back there again.

I agree with you! I actually think west is probably one of the worst possible establishments in the DT core.

I have never had good service from any of the staff. They have been half ass friendly and the food was terrible. I will be happy to see that place shut down.

With so many other good places along Steven Ave, I don't know how they have managed to stay in business this long.

Saw a picuture somewhere with a sign outside a club that said "We're the iphone of clubs, 4 full bars but crappy service"

I went here for a friends b-day party of 12 ppl, i would have to say that the ONLY sole reason we had good service is our server happened to be a grade younger than us in HS and remembered us.

Other than that, food was waaaay under portioned for the price, i could see the frustration and lack of QoS with the servers for the table next to us: - ppl were going to the bar themselves to get drinks, half the table of recieved their meals a good 30 mins or so apart from the other half of the table, then you have half the table pounding back drinks or salivating over what the other end has - the other half of the tbale eating and having their seperate 'dinner convo'.

i wouldn't ever go back voluntarily, if i did have to go back for w/e reason i'll make sure to eat something jsut before i go and order a cheap appetizer, cause all-in-all the food portion/$ was the biggest downer with my experience there.
