The "Im finally sticking with a car" DC2 prahjekt
Welcome to my first build thread on Beyond with my first Honda.
Leave the thread if you're not down for some reading about my past cars, my experiences with those cars and my current project. However if your sitting at home or work bored and need something to read, then have-at-er and I hope you enjoy my thread!
This is kinda a big step for myself as I've always been a very quick seller of my vehicles to make the best buck and move on to the next car. I've always had my mind set on "You dont know what car you'll love till you know which ones you dont"... and dont get me wrong, I've fell in love with alot of my cars. This is where the haters gotta go back to the homepage and quit reading because I'm going to post pictures of my Teg, but also give a quick glimpse of the projects that never got to see themselves on Beyond.
My car scene influence came from a buddy who bought a 1993 Civic hatch with a massive show winning sound system in it and a JDM swapped B16A (i think that was the engine). We cruised around lots and went to car shows and that was the first time I ever got "into" the car scene, helping him clean his intake, clean the rims, clean the car, help with audio work where I could and different small jobs of the like. It was the first experience in "modifing" cars. I had been previously saving for my dream car for the past 3 years and after my buddy got his civic I just knew I had to finally buy my baby and get on the modding train. (Mind you this was when I was 15 and had been working at a gas station for 3 years). I finally found a minnntt 1993 Supra (NA/Auto)... 44,000km's..factory stock, alpine silver, etc etc. It was my baby, but since the influence of my buddy's civic was still crammed into my head I had this great idea to do a big audio system instead of going NA-T with it. (It was cool and everything at the time but later on I wanted to jump off a bridge for not boosting the thing.) So I went out and got sponsored by MTX Audio and Automotive Universe and dumped about $6,000 into the audio/video system and such and got sponsored for the other $5,000 that went into it (install, free amps, misc things) It was a great car, it won me 2 tropheys: one for best of show tuners...and one for 2nd place in a DBL sound-off. It was awesome... then I went and sold it before I even had my license and could drive it (legally). I bought a TT/5spd Soarer with some Euroline's/Brides/Doluck/Blitz etc parts on it and got my license... being a 16 year old with a drift prepped (mostly) Soarer... I had to drift. Well, good idea gone bad I smashed a median with it and wrote it off...2nd day of my license. Woo me. So i sold her as she layed, saved up some money and bought a 97' Talon TSI (AWD) and worked and dumped more money into that. I got it to 400hp at the crank or so and 337.8 to all 4 wheels, that was a fun car...when it ran. Being a DSM it blew up twice, first was the headgasket and a month later it was the balance shaft belt shredding and skipping my timing more than any engine should ever skip. I fixed it, got rid of it straight across for a 2004 Stage 2 SRT-4, had fun with that car for a while, traded it for a 1993 S14 Silvia + some cash and a Macbook. The Silvia was mint and I knew I wanted to get back into drifting so I sold it for a ridiculously inflated price and picked up a semi-haggard 1990 S13 and started modding. I got it with a 4 point cage, origin kit, redtop w/ fmic/exh/intk/etc. I threw in a sparco seat, harness, personal wheel, nrg knob, cf hood, new tires, and was on my way to getting into some Amature competitions....when things went wrong. I broke up with my girlfriend and got angry, went out drifting like an idiot and smoked a corner marking boudler. That was the end of that car, I bought a new fmic, bumper, fender, mishimoto rad etc...threw it together and got rid of it. Now that brings us to where I am today... with the integra.

Let The Thread Begin!
------------------------------------
This is the start of what I hope to be a promising and enjoyable build of my 1996 Acura Integra.
How I got the car:
Parts/Mods that were on it already:
-P28 ECU w/ Chrome
-JDM B18C GSR Engine
-JDM 2000 ITR Front End
-Mugen Replica front bumper
-AEM Intake w/ Ractive Filter
-Type R Wing
-Enkei RSV's (18's)
-Skunk 2 Springs - Stock struts
-Greddy Exhaust
-Megan test pipe
-Wings West Side Skirts
-DC Header
-B&M Short Shifter
-Skunk2 Front strut bar
-Option Racing rear strut bar
-------------------------------------
Everything was going all good until a month after purchasing the car the clutch started chattering and the throw out bearing seized:
So we decided to rip out the engine, take off the tranny and see what really went down.
Well the cover plate that is supposed to protect the tranny from dirt/water/etc that bolts to the bottom of the tranny housing WASNT THERE, sick swap previous owner! So that was the cause of my throw out bearing going "bye bye" and taking my input shaft sleeve/pilot bearing with it along with a nice chunk of my inner tranny case.
(as seen above)
So like I was saying we busted the engine out of my car, and out of a 92 Integra GSR (B17 vtec) as well thinking maybe the throw out bearing would work and the pilot bearing... well no, they hook into the clutch fork or w/e differently so that was a no-go. I then proceeded to JDM Source to pick up a tranny worth my time, Shoiab even gave me a brand new clutch and flywheel with it...with that 30 day warranty and great service (he gave me all the bolts too!) ... I was well on my way to being back on the road!
After the tranny install went all good and with the engine back in the car and running strong I was happy with our work.
About 3 weeks after the install I'm cruising around in Sylvan Lake with my girlfriend after watching the fireworks and this EK pulls up next to me and starts wanting me to race.. so I punch it, hit like 7,500rpm.. let off and slow down because the railroad tracks are coming and 30 series tires suck and so does scraping.. but after the railroad tracks my battery light came on and my car shut off. Fuck. So I coast to the side of the road and pop the hood.. blah blah blah nothings looking wrong, connections all good etc. So, FML. I call a tow truck and bring it back to B9R where I proceed to leave it for 6 days because im tired of looking at it and dealing with it. I finally get around to looking at what the hell is wrong with the thing and I pull the valve cover off and notice the intake valve on the cylinder closest to my distro ... one of the intake valves is missing a valve spring cap... f*ck! So now
I'm now at a point where I have all the parts I need to fix it I'm just way to dam lazy. Were thinking the knock sensor went off when it sensed that cap breaking not allowing my car to fire, because I had fuel and spark and my timing was good.
In the mean time I have collected and installed some parts:
-JDM Front Bumper (ITR) - Not installed
-AEM big brake kit rotors (front) - Not installed
-K&N Filter - Installed
-Megan Front Camber Kit (UCA's) - Installed
