Sonos / Squeezebox wifi music players

Anybody using a Sonos or Squeezebox solution to set their home up with multi-room audio?

How'd you get your gear? Squeezebox stuff in Canada is mega rare, and the Soundsaround in Calgary only sells Sonos stuff for MSRP.

Also, do any of you have alternatives for wireless multi-room audio?

There's not a lot of good options for wireless multi room audio, Sonos is probably one of the best. Control4 also makes some wireless products but it has to be installed and serviced by a dealer so it will be a fair bit more expensive than Sonos, maybe $2,000 per zone installed.

Savant makes the best multi room audio in the world, hands down, but it needs to be hard wired and will come in at around 3K per zone if you do 6+ zones.

If you want to look at Control4 or Savant I can get you a Beyond discount, if you want to go with Sonos I can most likely arrange for you to go see someone at one of the stores to get a better deal... but Sonos is lower margin product so you'd be looking at a maximum or 10-15% off of MSRP.

The best thing about Savant is it will just sync with your iTunes library and let you use an iPhone, iPad or iPod as the remote control with full metadata. With 10,000+ songs it's still fast as hell, 0 lag or waiting time.
