u don't get menu's for dim sum dumbass!

BTW dome light means the light that is inside the car...like the one that sometimes is on when you open the car door. Or you can turn it on when you need light...however it might just be somethign lost in translation.

got a pic of the actual lights and wiring?

Looks to me like the actual switch that will control the lights...but not sure.

that are asking you to use the 12+ of the dome light cuas its not usualy on when your fog lights are (less draw on that wire).. you dont need much becuase its its only for the relay.. (the 12V= siginal from the dome light is sent to the relay and then allows the 12v+ from the acc. switched wire to pass on to the lights)

If you trace from the battery, you should have an inline fuse, then a lead into the relay(terminal 30), and then from relay(terminal 87) to your lights and the ground terminal of your lights hooked to ground.

Back to relay, we need to put in a way to make sure the lights only come on when you have your high beams on (if they are driving lights as you say. If they are fogs, you'd hook into your low beams for this). Terminal 85 simply goes to ground. Terminal 86 gets hooked up to your switch. the other terminal of your switch would be hooked into the power (or hotwire) of your high (or low beam for fogs). If your switch has 3 terminals, one will be ground.

The effect is when you turn the driving light switch on, the lights will only activate when you turn on the high beams, when you go to low beams or turn the car off, the driving light will turn off automatically, even if you forget to flip the switch. GL.

To answer your question: power for lights should always be through the battery NOT another light's circuit. The relay allows us to have the full power of the battery behind the light while using a lower draw circuit for switching.
