Just wondering, want to find out if someone's been through the court system in Alberta. (whether plaintiff or defedant)
Any websites I can just type someone's name and see if they're related to a court case? (criminal, small claims, etc..)
Thanks

You can search for anyone who has gone through the court system, in several different areas of law, by going to the clerk and filing a formal search request.
When you get to the courthouse, head to the 6th floor and towards the counters where the "QB General Filing" are located. There, you will see a purple form that you can fill out with the person's name and any other information you might have.
The clerk will conduct a search and give you a printout of all the actions containing that name. This costs $10. You may then request specific information based on what you indicate, at a cost of about ~$1/page. Sometimes, if you are searching an older matter , they will have to order it or request it from storage and you might be delayed for a week or so.
