Nice collection. My brother inlaw is big into the old school toys too; transformers, he-man, etc. I'll have to forward this thread to him

    Hey Mar,

Can you get parts for Gen 1 jetfires? I've got a great one, furious long story short, but his arm is broken and needs a part that makes up the internal of his elbow.

I got guys all over the country with extra parts, I'll put the word out. I have a few extra Jetfire pieces but not that one.

Let me know if you're selling any, I'll take any broken Jetfires you have.

And I'll give you $150 for the Trypticon.

Jetfire was never reissued but yes, they're just Macross figures. Transformers are all knockoffs from other lines, the original Generation 1 characters are all jacked from the Microman / Diaclone / Toybox toys from Japan. A Hasbro employee attended the toy show over there one year, brought some back, hired a team to write a story around them and packaged them in North America as Transformers, releasing a cartoon at the same time to promote the toys.

Just kidding here's what they're worth:

Mirage - He's actually very rare because he was never reissued. Most of the Transformers were reissued by Takara/Hasbro and re-released in early 2000s and brings the value down a lot. Since Mirage was never re-released and cracks very easily at the waist, a complete one in good condition easily fetches $70.

Jetfire - Please sell him to me, I need him. Local sales on a complete Jetfire are about $100, the little black gun clip alone goes for $30. But that depends on the colour of the figure, very often these guys are yellowed because the type of white paint they used turns yellow in UV light.

Thrust - I need a few pieces for, a complete one goes for about $45.

Grimlock - I got the sword on the way from a guy in the USA right now to complete mine but a good condition one with good chrome on the tail will sell for $70 or more. Some douchebag at the Farmer's Market flea market down south is trying to fetch $120 for one with nothing but the sword. He tried to tell me, "Ya, Grimlock didn't come with any weapons besides his sword." Okay buddy.....then what are these 3 missiles and missile launcher and gun that I have here? Moving on.....

Please sell me the Jetfire if it's in good condition. I'l take the rest too or I'll help you find buyers for them, your choice. I have a collector friend looking for Mirage.
Thanks Mar. I wouldn't sell them, way too many memories there. I haven't even seen them in over 10 years. They're been in my trunk along with my Star Wars, Hot Wheels, G.I.Joe's and favorite blankie.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Accessories always seem to be worth the most. I sold all my old GI-Joe accessories (I'm too young really for it, but it was passed down to me from older cousins to play with) and they were worth a ton... I think I made $1000 bucks off them alone.

Still got a ton of action figures and the vehicles though... Although they are in pretty rough shape. Cobra Commander met the firecracker many a times when I was young.

He was Skyfire in the cartoon but packaged in North America as Jetfire. I still need him.

Got another package in the mail today.
This is probably the hardest to find accessory from the entire toy line.....the possibility of even finding one for sale is extremely rare, and if you do find one you pay a lot for it. I actually found this one on ebay.nl (Netherlands) and used Google Translator to translate all the text from Dutch to English. That's how rare they are.

It's the gun for Full Tilt, which is the little purple car that comes with Trypticon.

Now I need another Fast Track gun and I should be good for rare parts.
