You don't need the special tool to adjust them.
Grab a flat head screw driver and hammer, tape up the end of the screw driver for extra protection against paint scratching on the coilovers.
put it on the lower coilover cog and tap it with a hammer, this will break it loose from the upper cog.
After you have it loose, move it just by hand into place, and when you have it in place, do the opposite:
move the lower cog up tight to the upper cog by hand, then to secure it tap the cog with the screw driver and hammer in the direction that creates a tight fit.
Done and Done!
"Anarchism is not a romantic fable but the hardheaded realization, based on five thousand years of experience, that we cannot entrust the management of our lives to kings, priests, politicians, generals, and county commissioners."
