stuffed door handles

Hello,

I just got my first car and its pretty old and well the door handles on the passenger side are jammed. Every time someone uses the handle they jam up, and I usually need to open the doors from the inside. Does anyone know how to fix them, or if its possible to fix them without goin to a mechanic??

Hey I have no idea but the answer could be the simplest one: old age. It may be time to take the old ones off and replace them with new door handles.

Remove the inner door panels and check the linkages, or remove them and soak in WD40 should fix them. You could just spray and work them...but I have seen quite a few badly rusted.

Cool you got it fixed, cuz when I saw this thread, I though it was some weird idea for a thanksgiving dinner entree or something.
