I'm days away from buying flooring and I'm torn on what's good and what's not.

Im fixed on this Kaindl Uptown Walnut Laminate from Home Depot. Its $1.69/sq ft. 10mm thick, rated AC3 light commercial.

Seems as though this is about low-average price to pay for laminate-There are much cheaper and much more expensive alternatives I know.

Has anyone had experience with this sort of laminate?

What do you know about chipping and scratches? I would seem to think that the top shouldnt chip, but maybe the click edges would.

Any experiences with slightly uneven concrete floor?

INSTALL:
I would lay this on top of lino in the kitchen (concrete floor under lino) and on top of tile in the hallway.

As far as underlay, I've found the cork underlay with built in vapour barrier which i'll use for the concrete and tile.

Something similar to this:

Does a person need to use it over top of lino?
Can a person somewhat rely on this cork underlay to provide the "cushion" in those slightly higher areas on the concrete? Or will this reflect in broken/chipped/separating joints after install?

Any insight into this would be much helpful!
