how do you find out info on convicted criminals

im mean how long there in for ,and were. im being very vague cause i dont want any details in the thread...yes i have googled it and found very little

You can't find out where they are serving. Even if you call the jail they happen to be in, or show up, they won't tell you if the person is in the jail or not, unless they've put you on their contact list.

As for sentence, that's a matter of public record. You could go to the courthouse where they were sentenced and request copies of records. There will likely be a cost for this.

If you are asking if there is a way to find out where a person is serving his sentence, you could make some pretty good guesses based on where he was sentenced and for how long, but sometimes prisoners are moved to differenct prisons for various reasons, so you can't be sure.

The only way to get absolute confirmation of where a person is serving is straight from the person himself. It's a part of his information privacy rights.
