I didn't really 'grow up' in the '80s (grad '83) but yeah the '80s were pretty good. Especially rock concerts (girls with big hair and spandex ftw).

Oh yeah, and the Flames were good way back then too lol.

Anyone know the name of those toy dragsters in which you inserted that plastic ribbed thingy and then quickly pulled it out?

Seriously though, those were damn fun toy cars.

    Delete what? It's still there.

His name is ROB - robotic operating buddy

He came with a game for the NES called Gyromite. Basically he takes one of the round discs and places it onto a machine that would make it spin. He'd then lift it and place it onto either the red or blue buttons that would correspond to the A or B buttons on the NES controller.

by pressing either of the 2 buttons, it would open up a pipe on the game to allow you to walk through.

So you had to run and make your way through the level before the disc would stop spinning, or you would be stuck and have to restart.

Ever seen the recent Bobbles..bubbles?? show? It's fucking creepy. Almost as much as those "David and Goliath" cartoons from the 80's.

Those Acme packages were pretty cool though.

Got it. I just had to restart my computer as your image wasn't showing on my end.

Anyway, we need a thread titled, "Coolest toys ever". ROB would definitely be in the top 10.
