Well, shit... I have to wait a goddamned year? Ah well, here's hoping they use the time well!

I actually like that Square is using their high end animation department (read: people that do Final Fantasy prerendered scenes) for the cutscenes, as evidenced by this first teaser:




So.... who else is a die-hard TR fan and can't wait for this game?

I can wait for the game mainly cuz I still got Underworld to play (haven't had the time, have the game), but it does indeed look sweet. Love TR games

Underworld is very nice. Also, very pretty. It's the last of the DX9 generation of TR, the new one is supposedly DX11/12, meaning it's going to be stellar for environments (something TR is well known for is very nice environments)

When I think realistic and gritter, I think being able to physically feel my face in between Lara Croft's tits.

Until that happens, still not impressed. You can't bombard me with a decade of a chick that looks like she shouldn't be able to walk, let alone do the incredible things she does on a daily basis without back problems, then halve their size because Square joined in. I mean, when was the last time Square made a character that wasn't outrageous? Tifa, helllloooo?

Gameplay demos will be at E3. Apparently the first two levels in beta stage are there to be played, so I'd expect at least some vids next week.

In case you didn't know, Square Enix absorbed Eidos, who owned Crystal Dynamics, making CD a direct subsidiary of Square Enix. So not only is SE working on it, they own all rights to it and are working with CD people to share the pre-rendered models with the in game models, including textures and landscapes. In short, they're working really well together, from all reports

Holy thread resurrection Batman

One week tomorrow and it's out. Looking forward to this game.... Crystal Dynamics has not made an outright bad TR game since they took over making the TR games. Sure, Legend was a little simple, and Underworld a little confusing, but I have high hopes for tiny-boobs Tomb Raider

Wonder how good this game will be. I've never actually played a full tomb raider game. If it's basically uncharted with tits, then I'll probably pick it up.

Reviews look good so far. Greenmangaming has it for $36 for PC. I feel as if I would like this better on xbox though so I think I will wait for it to go cheaper.
