what is the best way to clean grease, etc. off the outside of a BBQ?

we got our Broil King about 3 or 4 summers ago, and the whole outside (handles, etc.) are starting to get gross and sticky. (eww.) any advice on the best way to clean this? i was thinking about getting some de-greaser (like they use for cleaning in restaurants) - anyone know where to buy that, in a spray bottle? or, and other ideas for the best way to clean this?

i just use warm soapy water and cloth....

when you're done washing, throw out the water, get fresh clean warm water to rinse it off

I used Vim Cream on mine yesterday, and it worked great. Combined with some elbow grease, it took off a lot of grime that soapy water, vinegar, and other common cleaning products had no effect on.

Same general age as your BBQ and this was its first real cleaning, and now it looks brand new again.

Go to canuck tire or any other hardware store and buy a bottle of bbq cleaner. Works great, even on the insides. Or any type of citrus based cleaner works good too.

I use automotive car soap. Works just fine with hot water.

Superclean I found works well. You can find it in the car detailing sections at CT and walmart.

I had the same problem and used a Mr. Clean's magic eraser. Used that with warm water and voila, bbq looks as good as new.
Mind you the magic eraser pretty much disinegrated throughout the process.

There's this stuff called Zep that the Co-op's use, made quick work of a grease stain from a grease trap. The stuff is pretty expensive and I'm not particularly familiar with where you would get it, but I was certainly impressed with how well it worked.
