Recent phone call computer scam.

I don't know if the following is occuring in Calgary yet, but it has been in Lethbridge. That is:

- You receive a call from someone claiming to represent Microsoft.

- The shyster then instructs you to go into Event Viewer and shows all the "so called" errors.

*** Side note....ANY computer will have such errors, but they're benign and compensated for by the operating system.

Meh, Long story short (lol) , they'll request and often get your credit card number and hundreds of dollars to repair the "problem".

Got the same call, and my in-laws got it in Edmonton so they are making the rounds.

I got the same call but they knew my Mom's full name already. The police and shaw are well aware of it.
