Looking for Personal Injury Lawyer Recommendations
Long story short I am looking for a personal injury lawyer for my mother.
While vacationing in mid-July at my parents time-share in Radium, she was walking back from the pool to the house and slipped and fell on some mud from the watering of plants in front of the sidewalk breaking her leg and ankle. No one from the complex witnessed this event. We had to take her to the hospital in invermere where they x-rayed her leg and she had the choice of going to cranbrook or back to Calgary which she chose to do as they could get her in at Rockyview if she was there in ~3 hours. She had surgery the next morning for this and was in a cast with pins and screws and what not with that coming off a couple weeks ago with her now being able to use a walking cast.
It was not until today that the adjuster met with her from the insurance company and was basically blaming her and that it was all her fault for not wearing proper footwear coming back from the pool and that if she wants to retain a lawyer she should contact him first. She has left messages for the owner of the complex to get back to her and they some how made a report when none of them were witnesses to this. The adjuster apparently was going on that she slipped and sprained her ankle to show how well the report must be as the desk there was informed of what her injuries were. She has payed for all of her medical expenses thus far and has started physio now that she can walk again.
This pisses me off to a great extent so if anyone could recommend someone she could talk to for advice and possibly retain for services, I would really appreciate it
