All new trucks with direct injection V8's that promise 6cyl economy with V8 power. I like the GMC, it has a tough yet classy look.

Hopefully they've fixed the oil consumption problems in the 5.3
They look nice but i'm never dealing with these folks again.

Wow the interior looks great. Everything looks the same to me aside from the headlights of both trucks

GMC trucks never look dated because it all looks the same. Probably that's the reason?
I like it; especially that interior!
The new F-150's are still pretty boss though.
OMG! 6 years later and... a new grill!
earth shattering!
Looks like they have introduced the grille and headlight design of the GMC All Terrain HD..
Any word on that bad-ass release yet?

The new ford trucks are bad ass, especially with the new projector headlights! I could do without all the badging on the side of the truck though...Originally posted by flipstah

Oh' there's GM showing up 10 years late to the party again...
Well they look better than their previous gens, which doesn't mean much. And that All-Terrain HD looks like a toy compared to the Ford Raptor; love those trucks!

I'll have to see one in person. From the pictures the truck looks the same as the last generation, except for the grille, headlights and bumper, obviously, and the fenders look more flared. But the rest looks pretty similar. The cab, mirrors and door handles look the same. I don't think it looks bad, I just thought it would be more different. Ford did the same thing with the 2008 Super Dutys. (Edit: And again in 2011. And Dodge did it in 2006.)
I think I like the interior from the one picture posted. It looks like the center console and the seats are the same. That's good. I like the seats and console in my 2010.

I see on other forums alot of people were expecting a more radical design. I think they played it very safe with the designs, the old model sold very well so no need to go all out and rock the boat. Ford has the same basic f150 truck since 04 with only facelifts along the way. The super duty dates back to 99, again it looks different but the basic cab/chassis is the same. GM brings a brand new cab, larger and more functional and the styling is still pure Chevy/Gm and handsome.
Where it really counts for pickups is under the hood. Here I think GM will again regain it lead from Ford. First- the base V6 is a cam in block 4.3L, not a car baised multi cam engine like Ford and Ram. It will have the low end torque needed for truck use and long term durability. The V8's promise better fuel economy with more power, the 5.3 is said to have a bit more power/torque than the ecoboost V6 with same or better economy. As a truck buyer who tends to keep my trucks for a long time I want a tried and true V8, no a complicated twin turbo V6 that just begs for problems as the miles add on.
Yes I'm biased, but I've owned many trucks from each domestic maker through the years, and the GM's allways impressed me the most in terms of durability, fuel economy, and comfort.
I may have something here to dump by Ram for. If the interior has truly been fixed and the 5.3 has some decent towing capacity I could have one of these in my driveway next year.

Good call on the projectors...now the people who drive GM trucks with HID's won't be stuffing them into halogen housings.
I was hoping for a more radical design but its still pleasing to the eye, powertrains look good hopefully they will add a 7 or 8 speed auto in the future. Curious to see the pricing...
i actually like the previous gens exterior look much better.

Be interesting to see how the power ratings shape up
Wow they still put the transmission shifter on the steering column.
And I never understood why they put the antenna above the drivers head. It shouldn't be a big deal to have put it in the rear center of the roof, like on most cars. It just looks like such an after thought when they stick the sat antenna on like that.
