i did it for a bit, and for the week and a half i tried to grow the fucker, it annoyed my wife. so the bitch grew her own stache too...on her snatch. needless to say, we are both clean shaven now haha.

I'm a white guy, and still can't grow much more than an official teen stache.(I'm 25).
Super patchy beard/mustache... And if I let it grow, there's even traces of white already.. Got some shitty genes in that dept.

I can grow a stach, its just the color of it, if you don't look close enough you can't really see it. Hence why last year, I got some jet black just for men beard dye, and dyed my stach black...... the looks you get when your hair is dirty blonde/light brown and you have a black stach is just amazing!

A few years back we did mustache pub crawls in september, just for fun. A one month growth was required to get in on it and we made stupid shirts and went out and got loser drunk in the shittiest bars in town. We did it for fun, not for fashion.

To me, this is just a trendy/cool/"fashionable" thing for guys to do to "look good" to other people much in the same vein as the whole "pink" thing. Is the cause good? Sure. Does that money get abused as it does with the cancer society? I don't know. But I never like it when people need a gimmick to make them do something. That's just me though, if it's up your alley (no pun intended) give er'.

(Besides, after the second year of the pub-crawl I was sick of looking like a fucking retard with a mustache. And, since I won the trophy that year for best embodying the spirit of the mustache, I felt it time to retire and went out on a high note)
