whoops - had it confused with the 6mm 2.8 lol... either way still a lot of cash for such a specialized lens. I bet you'll get a lot of strange looks when you carry that around on your camera lol

Big thanks to kvg for stopping by my work to quickly show me his GF1 + EVF and a chance to quickly compare the 20 1.7 and 14 2.5
Let me know comes February what your plan is.
And huge thanks to blitz for lending me his nex5 + 40 1.4 for Xmas holidays.
Love the peaking mode and the voigtlander lens is a blast to use.
I definitely could live with either GF1 or NEX5 for street shooting although using the NEX5 makes me want to get a Leica (might be the lens).
Some quick shots so far

Ya, the 6mm is like 10x the cost of the 8mm, and 10x the size. Not quite that ballerOriginally posted by kobe tai

Earl, I'll bring in that pentax adapter and a few lenses to add to the kit for the holidays. The 100mm 2.8 I was talking about should be good for your street shooting
Went for a quick walk to test out the new lens:

wow that thing is wide.
can't wait to see some shots on top of the Calgary tower or up in the mountains.
thanks for the other lens!
always curious on trying new ones out
just getting caught up with a couple recent ones...not going to lie, I'll be happy when I'm done, not because I didn't enjoy doing the project, but because I just want to send my camera to nikon to get it cleaned...lol

Just a snapshot...but I think the look on the cat is hilarious (it's the wife's cat, and I'm not a big fan of his)

Finally got in for surgery this week on my messed up right arm. The after effects of the surgery bloody painful. Being put on vicodin for a couple of days was an interesting experience.
Two days after the surgery and I can finally once again feel my fingers in my right hand and it no longer hurts like bloody hell to hold a camera.
I should be back to normal in a few weeks time. Now that I'm all happy about this, in joy! Celebrate the 200mm F2.0!
Bloody exotic lenses!
Compositionally not the best, but I enjoy them.
The little doorway is the weirdest thing. it just goes straight through. I thought there may be a door inside on the left or right going into either building, but nope...just a weird doorway.
We get some truely amazing sunrises and sunsets here in Alberta. Here's Saturday morning:

I came down this back trail to get some pix on the Red Deer River, and the trail itself was quite nice too.

Starts at $75 for a years membership...the one for 115 includes a couple other little things like guided tours once a month, and once a year access to the Zoo Ranch in de winton.Originally posted by taemo

I want to reshoot the last one with no people in it. The guy in the right of the frame was eating a newspaper, so I decided I wasn't going to ask him to move.
