Default Tires Tires Tires Need Help!!!!

Okay so i have been looking at Winter tires for Calgary. But don't know which on is the best or good. I have been hearing that Nokian Hakka is the best but yeah its the worst for your wallet too ahahaha. So i have narrowed it down to these tires:

    -General Altimax Artic (Studdable Winter/Snow)

    -Firestone Winterforce (Studdable Winter/Snow)

-Michelin X-Ice Xi2 (Studless Ice & Snow) <--- I had these before it was a

-Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT (Studless Ice & Snow)

-Continental Extreme Winter Contact (Studless Ice & Snow)

-Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 (Studless Ice & Snow)

-Prielli Winter 210 Sottozero Series II (Performance Winter/Snow)

-Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D (Performance Winter/ Snow)

Now the final verdict i am using a 2003 Acura TL and it is all for city driving and maybe a couple weekends up in Banff but never the less i need your help Beyonders.

    Cheers, TL911

I got the generals for my sisters civic and for the money they are a very good tire, based on the old hakka design iirc.
I have blizzak lms on my car now and they are very good, better imo than the dunlop winter sports I had on before. They are both performance tires, but I would choose studless on my next car as I don't do much spirited driving in winter so I would prefer better snow/ice traction.

I have used the winterforce on my last two suv's and have no complaints. Mine are studded and a little loud but that's to be expected. I don't have much to comare them to but I have no real compalints and the price is right.

I am currently running Federal Himalaya WS-2's (studded) on my s4. They are by far the best winter tire I've ever run, my only complaint is they are a bit on the soft side in warmer weather.

I paid $820 all in, studded, mounted, balanced.

    Other tires I've ran are:

    Pirelli sottozero Series 2
    Dunlop DS-3's
    Hankook I-pike (unstudded)

My GF is running the Generals and I have to say, I'm really impressed with them, especially in deep snow.

I rocked this exact same set-up on my car this winter and I have to agree! They are the best tire I have ever used on a car in deep snow, and being studded the ice traction was obviously ridiculous... The abilities of this tire are crazy, especially when you consider the dollar value!
