    Default maintenance

Hi guys, I have some questions.
I just brought a car and has plenty of warranty left.
For the scheduled maintenance, I do have to take it to dealer?
or Can I just take my car to any mech?
also, Do I really have to follow the owners manual for scheduled maintenance? One of the maintenance says I need to get service at 8,000k interval.

    Thanks

If you have any history make sure to present it to a service writer.

It's not indicative to follow a schedule to a T but its very beneficial to a car.

I'd consider booking it into a dealership first for a basic service, during this you can experience what it is like and perhaps complete any possible outstanding recalls if any. They can suggest what maintenance is needed and you can go from there.

Talk to the dealership to find out what the regulations are for maintaining your warranty?

You can take your car to any mechanic, but make sure you save ALL your receipts when you do. If a warranty issue comes up they'll want to see them, and a bad dealership will give you a hard time about it.

Personally, I recommend doing oil and filter changes more frequently. We live in a harsh environment here. -30* cold starts in the winter, dry dusty air getting sucked into your engine in the summer, etc.
