    Default Framing 20x30 pricing

Im trying to fram a 20x30 pic of my kids, and all I want is a simple black frame with the non glare glass. All I can find is Michaels for $250 (this is after the 50% off coupon!). Am I crazy to not want to pay that for just a picture? What is the best place for framing that is reasonable around here? I have 3-4 prints like this, but $1000++ seemss insane to frame them. Thanks guys..

20x30 is a standard frame size at michaels. You can get it off the floor. Only in black and a mahogany-ish color

I was in Fernie a few weeks ago, on the wall of a cafe were featured some really well done photographs, as large or larger than your frame needs. The sale tag read:

    Photo and Frame: $450
    Frame: $350

Kind of made me a bit sad thinking of the labour and skill that went into the photo and the seemingly "Made in China" look of the frames. I am in the wrong business, ought to be making frames for $350 a pop.

My mother was so disgusted with frame and matting prices she signed up for a series of classes to learn to do it all herself.

    www.posterjack.ca

Black Frame/White Matte 24X32 $99.99. They have 20-30% sales off all the time.

Or buy a frame from Superstore or Michaels and put the photo in yourself.

I have $300 Michael's frames with "non glare" glass and you can still see a reflection in it, so you might as well go cheap.

I have a Michaels frame that was given to me and the non-glare glass looks fantastic. I just wish there was a local place where I can just buy a piece of matte glass..
