hey guys,
sorry to bump this but just wanted everyones opinion on whats an okay level for front tint? I understand the law says no tint, but i've phoned CPS before and they said as long as they can see the driver its okay.
what do you guys have? i was thinking 50% front / 20% rear on my new car but im not sure

Don't do it Aaron! front tint just catches the cops attention! I've had it to the lightest and yet the cop still gives me a ticket!

i have limo tint in mine

Depends a lot on the car and driver. I have my Minivan done with 50% on the front, and I haven't had a problem yet.

same thing. explorer at 14% in the front, no problem. 350Z at 14% got 3 tickets for it last summer.

Do all these tinting salons do vinyls on the roof too? or just certain ones? Looking to get all windows and roof done at the same time.

i'm getting La Tint put on pretty soon here also, what's a ticket from the cops worth? i was thinking 20% back and 35% doors

$57 is what I've gotten. Don't be a dick to the cop, otherwise I've heard of people getting $57 per window = $114
FYI, only tinting the front driver and front passenger windows are illegal. the rear windows could be painted black if you wanted as long as you have side rear view mirrors
i have 5% for the back 3 windows and 20% for the front 2

Limo on the rear windows and one step up from limo on my front windows (12% I want to say, Jared @ Shadow Tint can confirm) never had an issue with cops pulling me over on my cars except for that one morning after they announced a crack down years ago, that was my only tint ticket.
I normally just roll my windows down when they are following me and they can see me in the mirror and move on to the next guy.
