I can't see that as economical. Your grass is still gonna grow so it'll end up looking like hair dye where the roots are still grey

I'd agree with jwslam, I'd also like to point out that artificial grass is going to cost you a bit more up-front, but it will last years and make your life a lot easier.

I just bought it and will let you know in 3 days!
I hate going through the same shit every year with seeding and fertizing spots every year. The cost is far greater than $38, that's for sure. Thanks for putting this on my radar!

I took a trip out to Home Hardware in Airdrie over the weekend. They have 6 samples of synthetic grass. Least to say there is a huge spread in the quality. Obviously I liked the most expensive one at $6.35 a sq/ft called "Natural Real Supreme". Add $3.50 a sq/ft for install assuming you have removed the old grass.

Your lawn needs water more than direct sun to grow nice and green. Longer watering sessions, > 30 mins so that the water penetrates further into the ground and promotes deeper root growth.

This stuff is amazeballs!! My yard looks like it's mid July and I've saved hundreds of dollars and days/weeks in time!

    Tips
    1) have a good sprayer
    2) maybe buy 2 bottles in case. I just had enough.
    3) don't wear crocs, I have green toes now.
    4) have a good pressure washer on hand to get footprints/overspray/drips off concrete.

I'm extremely happy with the results. Thanks ImranM!
