Furnace started making a humming noise last night and I diagnosed it to the inducer motor. Had to drive to the deep south to pick up the motor. Got it swapped out and it’s running good as new, but I’m $500 poorer.
If you don't know what the eff you are doing when doing home renovations.. please.. just don't.
Took some time to work on the "bathroom" and found tile directly applied to drywall in a bathroom and 4" void behind the backwall.... still may find a dead body not sure yet.
Left the shop to do some house stuff today.
Getting rid of DANZE brand on my house, since both of them fucked up on me within months. No pic of the kitchen faucet but the bathroom faucet was changed with Moen.
Also finally found something to swap out the old 90s track light to go in the them of black gold in the house.

Those are so gross. My wife tells me you're supposed to wipe them out quickly each load which I was never doing before. When we moved into the new house and were doing our deep clean the people before us obviously never did either and I nearly puked when I cleaned it the first time.

Yeah and when they ran the water lines for this house they never split off or separated zones so if I need to do any plumbing in this room I have to shut down the whole house.

This weekend I needed to change the drive belt on my dryer. Never done anything like that before. After watching a YouTube video and getting multiple small cuts on my hands, all done!! No more noise and the dryer actually turns!!
YAY!!
It's remarkable how simple dryers actually are when you take the cover off. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Is it remarkable though? What would give you the idea that they are complex? It's just a resistive heater in a box. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Tenants love it I print these reminders, it’s actually something people don’t think about until explained. (Leaving washer door open).

Not only a good idea to keep the door open... leave the soap tray open too.. So much crusty water stays in there.
I had a shitty washer in the first house I built. Used fabric softner one time, but it didn't wash it all out during the cycle. Go in there to clean the tray one day and there is black mold. Fuck. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Since that day, I don't use fabric softner and I throw detergent into the drum and don't use the tray. Fuck that tray.
