Is it worth getting the whole series for $25?? Decisions decisions!

Orcs Must Die keeps blue screening my comp or the program just crashes to the desktop Actually a lot of the Steam games are not stable on my computer.
Ultracrepidarian
Probably yes, but Gods and kings if an additional $23. Personally I found V much better and more enjoyable than IV, especially with the expansion. Unit stacking was one of the things I hated which is not included in V. Colonization is a separate game and is quite fun though also!Originally posted by Stealth22

That is pretty odd. All your drivers and everything are up to date? I dont see any reason from the computer you have for it to do thatOriginally posted by msommers

Just bought the whole collection.
My recommendations for today's daily deals:
Crysis 2
Mostly because you will not find it cheaper this year than right now, especially the maximum edition ($11.50). Fun solo, good multiplayer, and still needs a fairly hefty system to play with full eyecandy.
Magicka (complete edition for~$7.50)
Magicka is a special recommendation. I would say get it if you KNOW you will have others to play it with, as it is good solo, but astounding when played with others. Also extremely tongue in cheek. A lot of the DLC is vanity, but there are some added value packs that expand the game, add new levels and items, and generally add more humor.
Civ 5
If you like Civ, and want the latest game, then I would say get Civ 5 + the Cradle of Civilization DLC bundle for the big 5 DLC packs. Total combined price ~$10. If you're sure you want the whole shebang (all the Civ games, pretty much), get the complete pack for $25.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
If you like hybrid FPS/RPG games, this is one of the better ones. It does drag at points, and some of the RPG sections are a little "meh," but otherwise it is a really well put together package.

I didn't like Magicka solo. If I had friends to play with I think I would have liked it more.
Is the FarCry collection worth $5 bucks? I've been contemplating it since I saw it earlier today.
For $5, you can't really go wrong. FarCry 1 is still fun, FarCry 2 *can* get boring at points, as there is a hell of a lot of driving/running to do between mission points, as it is an FPS sandbox game. The actual mechanics of FC2 are decent and the fire simulation is excellent (I love burning down entire swaths of the game world ^_^)Originally posted by teknical

Yeah the comp should be powerful enough by a large margin. It's been a little wonky lately, it will blue screen at other random times too and I have no idea where to start investigating next to replacing parts blindly.Originally posted by schocker

Anybody played Braid?
...
Why am I even asking?
Matt, what's your total at now?!
Updated the video and bios and seems better, but maybe coincidental who knows.
Ultracrepidarian
Ya, those were the ones I was going to suggest. Maybe it did do something, who knows, as long as it works amiriteOriginally posted by msommers

Picked up witcher 1, plants vs zombies and crysis 2.
Is the Cradle of Civilization DLC worth it? I read up about it and its just a bunch of real world maps... I did end up buying the extra civilization DLCs (Babylon, Korea, etc.) because I only have base Civilization V I bought last year from another Steam sale haha.Originally posted by Vagabond142

Oblivion for $5? any good
I never bought any of the dlc besides the expansion. Now that it is steam workshop anyways you can just download other maps.Originally posted by arktrance

I'm ho-humming about Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga since I never played the buggy original, tempting for 10 bucks. But it's another 60 hr skyrim thing.Originally posted by Vagabond142
Last three days of the sale. The "final weekend" portion of the sales + the final day are when they start to roll out the huge savings. I would expect a few 4 hour flash sales on big collections or titles for big discounts, and a few major daily deals.
