I need wood! Any contractor hookup?

Need some wood to build a deck. Got a quote from Home Depot and wow, was pretty steep.

Any contractors wanna help me out to get wood or build a deck extension?

I have the plans already.

Try Timbertown, I find their prices are the best in Calgary. You can be really cheap and take their quote to Home Depot and see if they'll price match and knock off 5% or 10% or whatever it is they do.

Wood isn't that expensive. If you want cedar or something, well - its going to be expensive wherever you go then

UFA prices, then take that to HD and price match them.

I'm not cheap...its the fact that my dad got a deck twice the size I want to build for the same cost as the materials I was quoted to build it myself... SO hire a contractor for the same/similar price including materials or DIY?

Lumber king has all of their prices in a excel sheet on their website, they've always been good to me.
