Would love to talk to this guy and ask what his reason was for the brake check on the on ramp

I'm not so sure it was a brake check. If it was it may have been by accident. Car seemed to be bouncing alot over the bumps a bit maybe something fell or spilled or the kid was flying around.

I need to get one of these dash cams. Every commute to work I realize this.

    Weakest "brake check" ever, imo.

Not a brake check, you were either following too close or not paying attention. Look inwards for the answers my son.

Clearly it was porpoising with all the high speed downforce.

it was a brake check for sure, maybe a weak one, if he thinks that's following too close while we are speeding up to merge, he's simply an asshole.

Need to raise it as high as the AM to eliminate this.

A lot of assholes out there. Someone brake tested me about 1/2 year ago and I almost rearended him. The guy was was speeding trying to past everyone approaching an onramp. As soon as he got to the loop ramp, he was driving like a grandma. Just as he was supposed to accelerate up to speed to merge onto Stoney, he braked hard. Of course, I was accelerating in anticipation of the merge. I almost rearended him. It wouldn't worked out well for him as our speed differential would have been at least 30-40 km/h if I had not reacted. He would have gotten a pretty serious whiplash or have his car pushed to a nearby heavy duty sign post they have on Stoney. Brake testing someone is a stupid move as you are assuming the person behind won't slam into the back of you.

Assholes are rampant on crowchild west to Stoney north. 2 lanes into 1, everyone fucking races me up the turnoff then slows down to under 100 once it’s single lane merging onto Stoney. I anticipate the slowdown as it merges into a single lane now.

The problem is the design, a lot of that traffic stays slow because they’re not merging, going straight enters the turnoff for country hills so they don’t have to merge with the 110+ Stoney traffic. It fucks over anyone that actually needs to merge onto Stoney.

If I’m an asshole on the road, it’s only towards a BMW or Mercedes as a rule. Even more so while driving one.

Brake checking is notoriously ineffective against people who aren’t tailgating.

    So, you know, don’t.

Another 'weak' brake check, a little love tap this time. Speed at the time behind her was 99KPH, after the little braking action, she proceeds to speed up to 120KPH, and then gets stuck on my right trying to change back into the lane due to vehicle trying to merge, got the finger from her at that point.

If you commonly get brake checked, then I think that says a lot about your driving style.

That’s not a brake check, that’s the turn off cruise control shortcut.

Lol maybe? My driving style is I simply move over/change lanes/adjust speed, but there seems to be shitty drivers on the roads these days. I try to be aware of all situations though. Speaking from other road rage I've witnessed, people seem to go out of their way to 'teach' people a lesson or something.

I don't think so, she seemed pretty angry, and from her reaction I wouldn't say that it was cruise cancel, but I can't rule that out, terrible timing either way.
